ABSTRACT
We analytically investigate the propagation of light beam in a harmonic potential with the following two aspects: (1) we investigate an anharmonic propagation of noncentrosymmetric two-dimensional beams carrying orbital angular momentum in a harmonic potential. (2) Based on the propagation in parabolic potential, we show a class of optically-interesting beams that are self-Fourier beams – the corresponding Fourier transform is the beam itself.
