Biography: 
Dr. Chen Zhu received the B.E. degree in optoelectronics information engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), MO, USA, in 2021.
He is a Principal Investigator with the Research Center for Optical Fiber Sensing, Zhejiang Lab, Hangzhou 311100, China. He was an Assistant Research Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Missouri S&T. His research interest is focused on the development of fiber optic and microwave devices for sensing applications in harsh environments.
Dr. Zhu was a recipient of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Graduate Fellowship Award from 2018 to 2019 and the 2020 IEEE St. Louis Section Outstanding Graduate Student Award. He is ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists list published by Stanford University in 2021. He has authored 30 refereed journal articles, 10 conference papers, and 1 book chapter.
Dr. Zhu serves as a Guest Editor for Photonics (MDPI) and an ad-hoc reviewer for Nature Communication, Optica, Optics Letters, Optic Express, etc.
